Bullfighting is coming to the North Augusta Hippodrome Saturday, Sept. 25.

But, unlike some traditional bullfighting that is popular in Spain, Portugal and France, the event spectators will witness at the Hippodrome will be bloodless. The matadors will not even have weapons with them in the ring when they confront the bulls.
“It’s not a blood sport by any shape or form,” said LaFiesta USA Bull Fight and Festival Manager Russ Burgess. “It is more of a dance. The animals are not intimidated, prodded or poked. A cape will be the only thing between the matadors and the bull.”

As expected, the Mexican national team lost to the Uruguayans. Uruguayan Luis Suarez scored the only goal in the game with a header at the 43rd minute thus helping his team with the 1-0 victory over Mexico in the 2010 World Cup Group B play.
Mexico had plenty of chances to score the tiebreaker however, after many attempts they failed to do so. This failed attempt just goes to show our sentiments on Mexico. They are highly overrated from a weak Group A division and will soon be exposed to the masses. Mexico took control for most of the game by winning the timing of position with 60% but could not find the equalizer.
